M.Sc., BIM-VDC Professional

Magdalena has over 14 years of international experience in the consulting, construction and project management field working in Europe, Middle East and Canada, specializing in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) in all project phases, from design through to construction.

In her most recent role as a VDC Consulting Manager at EllisDon she was responsible for managing business development strategies for the VDC Consulting group within a profit & loss environment, securing new work, creation of proposals, development and supervision of BIM production staff and processes related to the implementation of BIM for various VDC services. She managed continuous development of BIM standards and project specifications. She managed the scanning and modeling team to ensure efficient data collection, model development, creation of as-builts and BIM-FM integration. As one of the first Certified Professionals of Canada BIM Council she is actively involved in promotion of BIM adoption in the AECOO industry. She supports professional organizations, colleges and universities in BIM implementation by taking part in conferences and networking events.

As a chair of the Innovation Committee she is actively involved in many Polish-Canadian initiatives promoting business relations between Canada and Poland. She has joined Canada-Poland Chamber of Commerce in 2015 and since then she represents the organization in the local and the international innovation and new technology forum.
