Humanitarian of the year 2016

Bart Pasowski was born and raised in Warsaw, Poland. Graduated from Warsaw Technical University with M.Sc.(Eng). He started his career as Electrical Engineer in Warsaw. In 1974 moved to London, England where he started work with GEC Co. and later with Westinghouse Electric. He completed projects as varied as oil rigs, petrochemical plants in Iran, Saudi Arabia and paper plants in USA.

After falling in love with North America he requested transfer to Canada where he joined Stelco Co. He was involved with the construction of the huge steel plant in Nanticoke, Ontario as well seamless tube mill for Algoma Steel in Sault St. Marie.

His latest association is with the construction company Aecon Co where he holds position as the Senior Technical Manager. Noticeable projects are: Terminal 1 at Toronto Pearson Airport, International Quito Airport in Ecuador as well as undertaking key project for Canadian Nuclear Laboratory.

But his real passion is helping underprivileged kids. He does it trough his involvement with Polish Orphans Charity where he has major success raising funds for needy children all over the world.

He is licensed professional engineer in Canada as well as Chartered Engineer in Great Britain.
