was born and educated in Poland, graduated from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, Poland with a master’s degree in mining engineering.
As an engineer worked in coal mines Poland. In 1980 joined the Solidarity Trade Union and was active in fighting the communist regime.
Left Poland for the USA in 1985 and in 1988 moved to Canada and has been living in Mississauga ever since.

For many years ran his company Gomark Enterprises, a consulting business that designed and supplied interior stone finishes and imported and serviced machinery used in the stone industry.

Community leader and volunteer.

Practicing Roman Catholic, active in his Mississauga St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish.

In 2011 he was a elected a Conservative member of the House of Commons of Canada, where he served from 2011 to 2015 representing riding of Mississauga East—Cooksville.
Very strong advocate of human rights and freedom.
Currently running a consulting business WL Consulting working on several projects, eg Union Station Revitalization, Eglington LRT – Crosslinx and others.
Wladyslaw Lizon has been married to his wife Gosia for over 40 years.
They have 2 children and are very happy grandparents of 3 grandchildren.
