Waldemar is a Chartered Professional Accountant in Canada and a Certified Public Accountant in the United States. He also holds Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Schulich School of Business and a dual Master of Business Administration degree from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and Schulich School of Business. Waldemar Halek serves as the board member and treasurer of the Chamber. As treasurer, Waldemar holds responsibility for corporate finances and strategic planning of the Chamber. In his role at First Capital Realty, Waldemar oversees asset management analytics, forecasting, budgeting and valuations of the company’s $8 billion retail real estate portfolio across Canada. Prior to joining First Capital Realty, Waldemar spent five years as the Vice President, Finance of Elad Canada, a group of companies that included a public issuer on Tel Aviv stock exchange and several private companies investing in and managing a diversified real estate portfolio in Canada and the U.S., as well as, ten years with PwC LLP, a global accounting firm.
