TORONTO, ON. – The Bi-Annual Election of the Chamber’s Board of Directors transpired November, 9th, 2017, at the Etobicoke Civic Centre, Council Chambers. Members of the outgoing board presented a small report regarding the last two-year term.
Due to the influx of new young members joining within the last four years, we as a Chamber have become very active in organising networking events, hosting business missions and fact-finding missions from Poland. We are looking to expand on that and work on alternative ways of networking with various organisations. We are planning workshops, seminars, cross-cultural and uniquely Polish events to be organised in concert with Ekran Polish Film Association and Roncesvalles Polish Festival among others. We will strive to increase the membership of our organisation putting emphasis small business and corporate members.
As of 2018 we decided to increase yearly membership fees for Individual Members to $150, Small Business $350 and Institution to $600 per annum. We made this decision since those basic rates have not been adjusted in at least a decade and over these years prices have significantly risen bearing the need for our own adjustment to fees. Our membership fees still remain very competitive in contrast to other organizations with similar missions.
